After a controversial two day discussion an agreement was made on Tuesday. Regional developers from the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Norway and Germany came to definition that includes several stages.

The European working group of the Interreg IIIB – Project BIRD (Broadband Access for Innovation and Regional Development) meets in Osterholz-Scharmbeck to discuss the definition of "broadband".

on the website of the project “Broadband Access for Innovation and Regional Development” or in short BIRD.The BIRD-project started in November 2005 with the aim to regard the importance of broadband access for innovation skill and development of regions. Therefore it is needed to work out advices. On the sites of the project you can inform yourself about targets and results. Shortly we will provide you with further material concerning broadband.
